Bourbon Boulevard Steakhouse: Reviews & Ratings
Wine served moldy ("corked") and staff could do nothing about it. I come here for lunch when there's no manager on duty. This time I asked the bartender to recommend a red wine to go with the wagyu tartare/bone marrow and lamb chops and burrata/heirloom tomato salad, all of which were amazing, especially considering this was lunchtime in Chantilly. Anyway, the bartender offered me a tasting of one wine, which didn't have the tannins I was looking for, so he recommended the Caymus 50th anniversary which I know and love, and they serve with the Coravin system (argon pressurized to prevent oxidation), so I sprang for the 9 oz. pour at $90. Unfortunately, as happens occasionally with even carefully preserved wine, this bottle was "corked", with an off-putting mold smell. I asked the bartender to smell it but he said he is not familiar with wine and couldn't tell the difference. I asked him to set aside the bottle for management to check when they come in. My recommendation to management is to have a process for lunchtime staff to recognize and deal with "corked" premium wines. The bartender made me an awesome Vieux Carré cocktail and was apologetic, but was hamstrung by lack of authority or instructions to deal with this issue at lunchtime, so I'm out $90. Hoping other customers weren't served from the same spoiled bottle.
Great food! The ribeye I had was cooked just right for me. Added grilled shrimp plus the steak sauce to the ribeye.

Consistency is key! Ventured here after an afternoon of wine tasting. Sat at the bar and was able to enjoy the Ravens win over the Cowboys. Whooo-hooooo...a perfect Sunday Funday. Today I ordered a Caesar Salad and added grilled shrimp. My salad was fresh and my shrimp were delicious! My husband enjoyed the steak skewers with a side of truffle fries along with some of my salad. For dessert we had the Rum Bread Pudding and I also had a hot tea. The bar tender tonight was awesome and entertaining. There was even some live entertainment this evening and the singer with the band was actually pretty good. If we're ever in the area we will definitely be back! :)) Happy Yelping!
